Anyone else get close to this result with the basic Vortech kit with a JLT air cleaner, larger injectors and tune? This was achieved on crappy 91 octane gas here in California.

Would love to know if anyone is getting significantly more power with similar modifications and how you did it. :)

Nice power for 91 octane. Betting his knock sensors were detecting detonation like a SOB with only 91 octane though.

I would be curious to know how much more power could be had with higher octane? Are we talking another 25 hp or closer to 75?

Put a bottle of lucas octane booster in every tank full.

If you tune to the limit for 91 and tune to the limit for 93 I think it's like a POTENTIAL 1-2 degrees advance possible with the bestest greatest wonderfulest quality 93. If all you have is good 91... tune for it and accept you will be like, what, at most 15 hp less on the worst day of the week. Or corn.

For what it's worth for reference, here is mine with a Procharger Stage 2 on 91 octane with factory cats. I didn't get any log files from the dyno run, but after the dyno all my WOT logs show the knock sensors measuring up to +4 -+6. Lately I have been putting 8oz of "Race Gas" octane booster in per tank and usually the KR is in the negatives, sometimes +1ish and I've seen them as high as +3.?? If I add 32oz of the stuff/tank the KR is always in the negative, but I'm a cheapskate and am paranoid too much MMT isn't a good thing since my car is a daily driver.

Conservative tune running on 93 with about 8lbs of boost. FBO+cams. 678 rwhp, 840 to the crank

What kind of boost are we talking about? what size pulley do you have?

What are you considering full bolt on. at 8 pounds of boost I’m sorry I got to be a little skeptical. I’m not saying that it can’t be done just that it is unusual

Exhaust, intake, fuel injectors, headers, upgraded oil gears, stage 1 comp cams
