Schmick looking set of wheels Ryan1910.

My opinion, Ford should have included a rear wind deflector. Coming from an Italian sports convertible, the deflector stabilises the wind turbulence in the driving cabin and doesn't mess your hair. My wife who has very long hair never had an issue with hair flying all over her face.

Beautiful car to look and to drive definitely great value !!!

Good:
Drive
Comfort is ridiculous
Ride Height in my opinions is almost perfect for DD use
Seats in the front are great
LOOKS!!!!
Boot is just massive even with the top down
Customization
Top down is so fun

Bad:
Exhaust is just wayyyyyyy to quiet even in sports mode
Sync is extremely complicated and slow in my opinion
On the convertible this hideous antenna sticks out
Not a fan of how two of the three tail light are only on
(not sure if bad) Quite a bit of camber
Exhaust tips don't fill the holes

Besides the down sides it's a great car and anyone who is getting one will not be disappointed at all. If anyone wants a pic of anything just tell me :) Check out the photos and my page on Facebook:(https://www.facebook.com/mustangclubmelbourne/);)

Edit: Btw disgusting plate will not be staying, ordered a new one !

I picked up my car just before yours (actually got a good look at it while the cover was off and looked really good), and have been driving it pretty much the whole day. Can't get enough of it. Agree with your good and bad points although haven't played around enough with sync to make a judgement yet. I have ordered a Craig's front bracket but it hadn't arrived so I advised them not to mount the front plate a all.
I can definitely see an exhaust coming at some point but I will need to hear a few before I make a decision. The only disappointment for me was paint blemishes that were not visible under the dealership lights but quite obvious under natural light. They appear to be in the clear coat and are actually fairly widespread. Will definitely go back to the dealer to see what they can do about it.
All in all the wait was well worth it.

Definitely I saw you drive off and I was like oh too late :) Please send pics of the paint blemishes , I only found that the paint looked horrific in the jams . I will be soon teaming up with a few company's to bring parts to Aus so input from everyone on what they would like to see would be good. I love how the driving is so effortless and smooth. It's so comfortable that all the time I just leave the steering and power train on sport +. We should all go for a cruise sometime soon.

Ive taken some photos (these are actually from wife's iPhone) of the various blemishes which are on the left rear quarter, roof sides, right door, left mirror and there is even a mark on the windscreen that won't come off with cleaning.
There are more than what I've shown but these are representative of the what look like.

Hmmm..... interesting didn't have a problem with mine. For scratches and blemishes I like to get some nail polish remover/alchohol and gently rub it off with a cotton swab, then apply some wax let it cure for maybe 5 min and wipe off. :) Gonna order some clay mitts anyone that wants to use it can come over, If anyone wants me to order them one too just shout this way :hail: P.S anyone know how to change the interior button colours not the ambient lighting.

Hi Rayan, Yours is the same as I have ordered with the big difference that mine is still at the dealership.... in Hobart. With Easter and school hols, there are no spots left on the Spirit to get it back, so I am stuck for a bit, unless I can get a day off work mid-week! Love the race red, looks absolutely amazing. I'll drop you a line when I eventually get back to Melb.

Oh mann.... you've waited so long just push through the pain  Trust me it is 1000% worth the wait. How effortless the cars speeds up is phenomenal , comfort is unexplainable and looks is just out of this world. Shout when your back in melb and you can drop by :)

Dive-bombing birds damage paint of two new Ford Mustangs, causing prep rethink

14 January 2016
By RON HAMMERTON
THE bane of car owners everywhere – bird poo – has forced Ford Australia to rethink its new-car import preparation procedures after two new Mustangs were dive-bombed and damaged by feathered fiends at Melbourne’s Webb Dock after being unloaded from a ship bringing them from the United States.

The pony car paint was damaged by the droppings after protective plastics wrappings had been removed to comply with Australia’s quarantine laws.

The issue came to light when an anonymous person called a Melbourne radio station to say that dealers were having to repair the paintwork.

The incident was confirmed by Ford brand communications manager Neil McDonald who said only two cars had been damaged.

He explained that the protective “wrap guard” on the horizontal surfaces of the cars had been removed from the shipment of Mustangs as part of the bio-decontamination process to ensure no unwanted seeds or other nasties enter the country.

“Two cars then suffered bird dropping damage while they were on the docks after the wrapping came off,” he said. “As a result we’re looking at the process to better understand how this can be avoided.”

Presumably, the droppings were not noticed until they were being prepped at dealerships, by which time the damage had been done.

Some manufacturers such as Land Rover have been forced to wrap their vehicles in top-to-bottom shrouds to avoid bird droppings, particularly while awaiting shipment on the docks where seagulls are notoriously negligent.

The new Ford Mustang will be officially launched in Australia next week with a media event in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley, although stocks of the much anticipated two-door coupe and convertible have been arriving since late last year.

The first year’s allocation of 4000 vehicles have already been snapped up by buyers, with new customers facing a wait of more than a year for delivery.

So it's possible to survive exposure to the second worst storm in eastern U.S. history only to be brought down in the home stretch by good ol' Aussie bird shit.
