It is less about the size of the turbo and more about the restrictions it has to overcome. Poor flowing turbine housing, small compressor cover, poor flowing intake manifold, and extremely terrible flowing cylinder head.

It is about equal to a GTX2971R, but limited by it's package.
Yes that GTX2867R with is big comp cover, and high flowing turbine housing is blowing it away in terms of spool, and top end power... Oh wait.... ;)

Wait I thought this turbo doesn't use the stock turbo housing? You don't think a ford tech can notice?
the turbo looks pretty much identical to the factory one.

I think just about everyone will. I mean same spool, more power, 3K less than its nearest competitor, and no warranty hassles. This thread is proof, you will never please everyone all of the time. If you want to spend 5K on a kit that spools the same, and makes less power up top, and has less power potential. That is your choice, and no ones but yours. But the spool talk from people who do not own the turbo is getting out of hand. The graph is above, I simply overlaid two graphs that exist on their own on this forum. If people want to ignore those facts, well nothing we can do.

It would be very very hard for any tech to tell the difference. This was by design. Once the heat shield is on it, and plumbing it's basically impossible to tell. You seem to be the main detractor here, attacking customers etc. If you are interested in the product please drop us an email, we would be glad to answer any questions. If your goal is just to stir up drama in the thread if it continues I will ask the Mods to step in. This a thread for VTT S2 owners, and people looking for owners experience, dyno numbers, track times etc. If you have nothing to add, please do not contribute anything. Anyone that puts this turbo on I hope if they blow up there engine wont assume that Ford is gonna warranty it. But if I take my car to the dealer to have the power steering fixed I know there gonna laugh at me cause ive got a standard rotation turbo sticking up as high as the valve cover. With this Turbo, my car still looks stock, when I go smog it, ill remove my UPR catch cans, put the stock air cleaner on, and roll right thru, heck if my CAT dosent throw a code ill keep my exhaust on the car, if not ill have to change that.

Go read post 91 Vargas! Attacking?! Hahaha sounds like you are paranoid and reading the way you want it to come across? When someone asks about track times, says thank you, and is asking questions about important things in regards to this turbo. Excuse me for my attacking lol

Honestly I say again read post 91. And as far as your amazing ability to decifer the context of my messages, not sure what is commmon s I'm not an expert like yourself. Good luck to all, pewrfeld good luck at the track! I promise Mr. Vargas is totally off on my context. First he said attacking, then it's passive aggressive? I swear I asked about the track times because I was interested, I asked about the look of the turbo, because if I buy this I need to know certain it won't void my warranty..... Good luck all
