What mods do you have? All the video showed was 5 seconds of you flooring it from 40 to 80mph

Lol yea just a little pull video of what the 3.7 can do with some modifications. I did it cause a guy on the Eco forum with a modded ecoboost posted a 40-130 pull but I didn't have enough street to go that fast so I did a 40-80 pull to compare to his and it is the same time as his pretty much from 40-80. His 80-120 time was around 8 seconds. My car does that in around 6 I've timed it before.

I have a couple performance mods; jlt cai, BBK Shorty headers, ported upper and lower manifolds, and 4.10 gears. Oh and of course a tune for all that from MPT on 91 octane that revs to 7500 RPM. And Borla s type mufflers for the sound but not a catback. Stock mid pipe as well and glass pack resonators welded into the over axle pipes.

Nice man yeah we will all do mods when they release them on the aftermarket. And I'm glad to see a v6 keeping the ecoboosts in check lol

Yea the tune revving to 7500 RPM and keeping power all the way up there is the major thing and MPT has a development 15 v6 they are working on I'm pretty sure. That coupled with just a few mods will have a 15 3.7 neck and neck with an ecoboost, modded or not. A lot of guys on these forums seem to think otherwise.

The modded v6 trap mph is right there with the ecoboost, on lower quality octane gas, pass after pass after pass. My car has trapped a 105.69 in 2500 DA before. That's close to 110 corrected to the altitude most ecoboost cars are running in, on inferior quality gas. Don't count the 3.7 out once a tune is available for it!

Yeah there are many v6 haters on these forums, glad to see a supporter and yeah I've seen YouTube videos of the v6's going into the 12's in the quarter mile with just a few bolt ons and a tune not to mention the supercharged ones :)

Is revving to 7500 safe for the engine?

Anyway, I think the problem is people going into other engine sections and bringing up another one. Us V6 owners should be able to speak about our car here in peace without eco or v8 owners budding in and stating some opinion out of theirs in the middle of discussion and vice versa. I don't post in the eco section at all just because I feel like me being there is going to upset some of those guys.. even tho I like seeing what they're doing with their cars.

I think it is. I have 45k miles on my car, out of that I've been tuned with a 7500 redline for 30k miles maybe a little more. Over 100 passes at the drag strip easily with no signs of any engine problems. I don't do it every day though. Just if I want to squeeze every bit of acceleration out of the car I will rev out right to the hard redline and the car pulls noticeably harder. Especially in the next gear since it drops it to 6k rpm on every up shift.

I agree though I don't get why everyone cant just be subjective without bringing In stuff that is misinformation.

We need to have more V6 owners post their engine/drivetrain/exhaust mods on here. I know there are a lot of V6 owners on here.. Let's see them!
