For the record, being "the" track 2015+ V6 guy...

Buy a V8 if you are concerned about sound or literally anything street related.

That out of the way, if you want a fun car that sounds okay and can afford to turn it into a racecar...check out the V6 with the exhaust I did on mine. Drone is still there at 1.5 - 2.5k, but at least it isn't a trombone.

Again...if you want good sound or anything street related, get a V8.

If you want to build a "racecar" - get whatever you want. Even a Yaris is fun if you know how to drive. Wise words from my friends on here.

Well I agree, a V6 is never going to sound as good as a V8. But the V6 sounds better than any I4. The only thing that sounds better than a V6 that isn’t a V8 is the subie F4 w unequal length headers, or a V2 Harley. V10s sound odd to me, but cool, and I rarely ever get to hear V12’s so I can’t comment on those.
