  1. Mustang handling

This is a great place to start. I got lucky n found a slightly used kit. It made a noticeable difference; sure tightened up the back end. https://www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-subframe-alignment-and-support-kit.html
  2. 2011-2014 Mustang GT 80mm TB How-to

I did not need a tune. I only had to recalibrate the throttle body. Itā€™s a simple process. I have been running this setup over two years, no issues at all.
  3. Winter Storage Battery Question

Iā€™ve never had an issue leaving a battery hooked up to a battery tender all winter, any type of vehicle. Batteries wonā€™t freeze if they are kept at the appropriate voltage. I would leave the battery in it hooked up to a tender, & pull the fuel pump fuse (take it home - leave w keys). That...
  4. Borla Atak what do I need to know? Also do i need to order the whole set or just mufflers?

Exhaust system #6 was a butchered GT cat back with an H - pipe and Borla S Type mufflers. Sounded great but was a bit loud for me for freeway cruising. However I had zero drone (finally)! I ended up removing the H pipe and reinstalling the GT resonator (which I think is the same as the v6...
  5. V6 Exhaust

Excellent choice! Wish I had gone that route. Seven tryā€™s later I have a GT cat back w Borla Type S mufflers. No drone and sounds about as good as it can for a V6. Sounds like a V6 during light acceleration, but get on it and canā€™t really tellā€¦sounds awesome when making a brisk freeway entrance.
  6. Share your story on how you got into Mustangs.

My 23 yr old uncle had a new ā€˜69 light yellow Mach 1. He took me for a wild ride when I was six. Iā€™ve wanted one since then. Unfortunately too expensive now, and when the S550 came outā€¦done deal baby!
  7. Stock GT Exhaust on V6 Mustang

Probably a bit louder. Not sure if anyone with a V6 has gone to that level who is still posting here. I wonā€™t be going that direction. The stock CATs flow just fine for me. I put one on a SAAB once and couldnā€™t tell any difference w a stage 2 tune, and had to use a CEL eliminator dispite the...
  8. charcoal canister

    Good to know! Thanks.
  9. Convert back to reaonator

Yeah you can do that with the Steeda clamps as others have noted. I put mine back in after getting some Borla S axle back mufflers. Sounded great with the H pipe, but was a bit louder than I wanted esp for any road trips.
  10. Stock GT Exhaust on V6 Mustang

From all the testing Iā€™ve seen, Wix air filters flow the best and filter the best (OEM air box). If you are using an aftermarket intake, Iā€™d look at an AFE synthetic dry flow filter. I wonā€™t even buy a used vehicle that has any sort of oiled gauze air filter installedā€¦not only do they not...
  11. Stock GT Exhaust on V6 Mustang

Nice set up, try some Borla S Type axle back GT mufflers. Will be a bit louder and the flow a lot better. Makes a bigger difference than the headers. You might consider going with a different air filter. Those K&N filters are great for racing where the engines are rebuilt frequently. K&Ns...
  12. Coolant leak - puddle approx. under drivers seat on ground.

That is the ā€œbase part number.ā€ The Mfg. P/N: FR3Z-18472-D. Good gravy what a pain in the neck to find the right part.
  13. Coolant leak - puddle approx. under drivers seat on ground.

That is the o ring for the 2.3L. The 3.7L is not serviceable and requires a new heater core outlet hose. PN#: 18472B I wiggled the outlet tube a bit and itā€™s hasnā€™t dribbled any coolant for several days now, but itā€™s only a matter of time before it begins leaking regularly.
  14. Coolant leak - puddle approx. under drivers seat on ground.

Thanks, itā€™s likely a rubber o-ring from the heater core outlet hose to the outlet tube on the left bank of the engine. There was a bit of coolant residue there and can see where it dripped on the exhaust pipe. It looks to be seeping once the engine reaches ambient temperature. There are zero...
  15. Coolant leak - puddle approx. under drivers seat on ground.

Itā€™s the Mustang. Found it, itā€™s where the metal tube from the WP to the back of the engine joins to a quick fit rubber hose. It dripped a tiny amount on to the left exhaust, ran down the cat and dripped on the floor. Iā€™m not sure how the much larger puddle ended up on the right side.
  16. Coolant leak - puddle approx. under drivers seat on ground.

Yea itā€™s definitely antifreeze and at 38* there isnā€™t any ac condensation. Only thing that ran was the heater, no defrost. Has to be the sled, rather surprised I didnā€™t notice it earlier.
  17. Coolant leak - puddle approx. under drivers seat on ground.

Thanks, Well I checked again after the car cooled down and nothing there after I cleaned it up. I did have a snowmobile parked there a week ago for a few minutes. It recently had some engine work and coolant change. Iā€™m really surprised I didnā€™t notice the puddle until this evening when...
  18. Coolant leak - puddle approx. under drivers seat on ground.

Forgot to mention that the carpet is bone dry and zero oder in side the car even with the heat on full blast. There was probably two ounces on the concrete. Weirdā€¦
  19. Coolant leak - puddle approx. under drivers seat on ground.

2016 w 23K milesā€¦noticed a puddle (coolant) on the garage floor that would be around the console closer to the drivers side. Iā€™m guessing the heater core has gone bad. There are zero signs of any leaks in the engine compartment. Has anyone had any issues with a leak like this?
