Looks like a planned mod while I'm off work isn't going to be happening :(

So I ordered a set of tribar DRL boards from Diode Dynamics last month, (now mistakenly) opting for the standard first class international USPS shipping to here in the UK, thinking it'd have plenty of time to arrive.

Since then, this parcel appears to have had more of an adventure than I probably ever will. It finally arrived in the UK a week ago, then nothing for days. I assumed it must be waiting to be processed by customs, but then this morning it turns up at the other side of the world in New Zealand!

I'm now starting to doubt I'll ever receive it, but I'm just going to have to let this play out and wait to see where it goes next. I've attached a screenshot of USPS' tracking page for everyone's amusement, although for me it's very frustrating. :frusty:

Thanks. It's somewhat reassuring this isn't a special case.

Unfortunately I only had the next week or so to get the work done. Even if DD could get a new set out with a different courier it probably wouldn't leave me the time to fit them :(

USPS is fine for letters with stamps on them.
They have never performed well as a shipping company.
  • Slow ship times
  • Poor package handling
  • Poor interactive web site
  • Rates not competitive
  • Long and difficult claims process, and never pay on claims

Only if the product will fit into one of their ready boxes should they even be considered as an alternative to UPS/FedEx/DHL

They should have stuck with what they knew well - letters only.

FAIL is probably another acronym of sorts for them.

Living in Jersey (Channel Islands) you can imagine where they keep sending stuff that I order... I think it was about 5 weeks for the last Jiffy Bag I had posted, which was about the size of a small crisp (chip) packet!

I suppose you could say it's value for money based on the distance it's travelling!
