Talk about breath that kills… The Komodo Dragon (world‘s largest lizard) typically has so much bacteria in it’s mouth from rotting meat that it is capable of biting its prey and then just following it around until it dies from infection and blood poisoning. Oh, and it can run faster than a human.

They've been proven to be venomous!
Scientists studying komodo dragons debated for decades whether the bacteria in its mouth could really kill that quickly. The evidence against it being venomous was that, after dozens of komodo dragon autopsies, no one could find the venom glands.

The debate was finally settled when someone did an MRI on a komodo skull, and the lower jaw turned out to have hollow spaces inside. They deduced that the venom is delivered through grooved teeth (rather than the usual hollow fangs).
Also, a zoo in Singapore opened up the jawbone of a recently deceased komodo dragon and extracted the venom glands.

Another fun fact about the Komodo dragon is that it's a kind of monitor lizard.
When I was a Building Monitor at work I used monitor lizards as mascots
and got away with printing memes on the job.

Now if someone wants to complain about a light going out, or a toilet leaking, I point to this sign:

Well, this information is useless now...

The development program for the B-29 bomber cost the USA $3 billion, in the 1940s.
