I bought my car similarly to Vanquisher in November. A certified 2015 Gt premium performance pack, 401A package, blind spot alert system, wheel locks, 4300 miles. $32K + tax. It was the exact car I wanted plus has the 100k power train warranty. Sticker was $42,500.

I've been shopping for a used GT as well. Traded in my '13 GT Premium and bought a '15 V6 last summer with the deal of all deals. While I love the car for what it is, I really miss the guts and exhaust note of the 5.0. I've seen some used base GT cars go around $25k, and even a premium GT go for $25k on ebay. (Still believe it was a scam though) I'm hoping to find a base GT deal in the $22-23k range, but I'm probly going to have to wait a while. Give it till March, Mustang sales are rough through the winter and some cars that have been sitting will be good pickings.
I would love to be able to find a base gt w/ pp for under $30k otd by mid june. But in the past few months I just haven't seen any real decrease. Im hoping that when the 17s come out the 15s any maybe 16s will come down a bit.

what these guys said. Used cars are a scam.

I traded in my 2013 SHO (37,xxx miles). It was $44k 2.5 years prior. The low balled me at $22k, I took $25k. They listed it for $29,999.

Your best bet is to find a dealer with new car inventory. Find the car with the options you want and make your deal. Dealers don't like to sit on new cars for very long.

And I found my car NEW OTD for $36k...it was a $44k sticker. Deals are out there, just have to keep looking.

I bought my car for 28,500$ + tax It is A certified used premium GT with 6spd manual no nav, no recaros with only 11,000 miles on it. Window Sticker for it was something around $38,900 Just make sure to go to a dealer that wants your business.

You got 10k off sticker before trade in or anything?

find someone that has a dealer license and go to a big car auction like Manheim. My 335xi was fully loaded with a 64k sticker i got it with 7k miles for 32k. did the same with my truck but ended up getting the mustang brand new because i was being picky.
If you don't have any friends with licenses ( I do and I would log on daily and look at cars available) you can usually pay someone around 500 to a grand to do the deal, you will still come out way on top.

edit: I'll also add you can see where the car came from ( personal use, fleet, rental) and it still maintains full factory warranty if its applicable

Pnasty - My brother works as a contractor for Manheim doing database work. We looked at prices this past weekend and they were higher than I thought they would be. Mind you, those were listed not selling prices.

hm interesting. Although the ones listed on there are always high priced because its their last chance to sell before auction. check out the post sale results to see what they actually went for in your area

Not sure about the scam part, but I'm baffled why there's no apparent depreciation on 1-2 year old cars. That's usually the bite in the ass about buying a new car...knowing that "the second you drive it off the lot the value drops by...." (however much)

KBB

has anyone attempted to blue book these cars. I just ran a 2015 GT base with PP and it said dealer price would be 26-29k, and that private party was under 26k.... I always feel like KBB lowballs prices, and this is proof compared to real world prices. Dealers use KBB to rip you off when you trade in, but then use market price when you are trying to buy one.

I believe dealers use black book when buying. Then when a market doesn't line up with kbb they do a song and dance about how in-demand the vehicle is so that kbb isn't reflective of the price.

Just my experience.

Personally, from reading some of the replies in other threads, people here seem to be saying the prices paid are significantly less than I'm seeing on...say cars.com.

Same here, sticker was 31 plus tax I got it for 28 plus tax ended up being 31 exactly for a 2015 gt premium with 14,000 miles. That was after visiting a couple dealerships and haggling prices
