I'm from Sydney, Australia.
I have on order and awaiting delievery in Australia on a 2016 Fastback GT 5.0, PP, 6 Speed Manual, in Race Red.

I often go to the Queensbury / Lake George Area, a little further up the I87 than Albany.
I drive to Queensbury from New York City, via the I87.
Somtimes I drive from Boston via the I90 to Albany and then onto the I87 to Queensbury.
You certaintly live in a beautiful part of the USA.
On my next trip, I plan to hire a Mustang from NY City.
I might divert off the I87 at Albany and have a look around.

Hey red stang, lake George/Queensbury I go down that way some times. Love the adk's mountains. Well when ever your around northern new York we have some fun car meets. Mostly in platsburgh but do like to cruise the scenic routes

I will probably be in Queensbury, around March next year, (2016).
I will keep an eye out on this forum and other forums for any car meets / cruises in the area.

I've driven from Queensbury to Lake Placid a couple of times. Those adk's mountains have some of the best scenery my wife and I have ever seen, especially in your fall. The reds, greens and yellows of the leaves on all the trees on those mountains is truly fantastic.
A cruise up Lake George on the Steam Paddle Boat is also great value.

If you want the best Ice Cream ever, you should try Marthas Ice Cream, on the US 9, just on the northern side of Queensbury heading towards Lake George.
It would be a good place for a car meet as it has a large car park.
It is across the road from the Six Flags Amusement Park.

The roads in that part of northern NY State, are great for cruising.
Lake Placid is a great little town.

For sure. We are doing a big loop cruise on Oct 18 with our ford group mostly mustangs, but we welcome all fords
