Hi all,
I recently swapped the APIM in my mustang from a 4" to an 8" APIM from a 2019. I want to update the Sync 3 software to the latest version, and was wondering what would be the best option:
1. Do I download the USB update from Ford's website using the donor car's VIN?
2. Do I use Cyanlabs?
I'm concerned about bricking my APIM since it's from another car, so I want to minimize that risk as much as possible. I've heard good thing about Cyanlabs, but was wondering if it's really needed since my APIM isn't that far out of date (3.3 to 3.4).
Thanks in advance!
