I have a slight issue with my heater which I'm wondering is a common thing in these cars.

My car is just on 1 yr old, RHD GT. I didn't use the heater much last year due to not using the car much in winter but this year have been using it often and noticed that the drivers side vents blow cold whereas the passenger side is hot.
From the 3 circular vents on the dash, the far left gets hot, the middle warm and the right hand one blows cold like the air-con. The rectangular vent next to the steering wheel also blows cold.

The settings are based on the driver side, so both driver/passenger the same - 26c

Before I take it to the dealer, does anyone have any suggestions as to what the issue might be? If there's something I can look at to solve it I'll try that first.

Thanks,
Gerry

Hi Gerry, i am in Melbourne too and whilst i haven't experienced this in the Falcon the blendor motor was a known problem but usually some time after new . Problem was it was a dash out fix, not really what you wanted.
Anyway good luck with it and with our current weather i understand the need for it.

Thanks both for your replies.
Found this video related to those actuators, so might try and see what I can find:

Here's hoping there's no need to pull out the dash

A quick update on the above - took it to the dealer today and they found fault code B1082 and as a result replaced the drivers side damper.
Driving home in the cold, the heater worked exactly as it should.
Happy days!
