Lund has a good tune with shitty service, so if you're u don't care about customer service, go for it. Did a remote tune on my set up, they wanted to bullshit on my free tune revisions that they market, which I asked about before purchasing the tune. Waiting still after about 2 weeks for a 2nd revision. I will never personally give them any money again...

Interesting info, thanks. What was your setup with the PBD NA tune? What did the car trap and what was the DA?

Car was a GT M6, completely stock. I did quarter mile runs stock and with tune, on same day, Stock was 106-107mph, tuned was 113mph.

UK stock M6 cars trap 106-107mph typically as remember UK cars are rated 410HP crank stock due to different tune and changed headers.

The other tunes I witnessed following:

Stock: 106-107mph
SCT Canned tune: 110mph
Lund with PMAS CAI with octane booster: 113mph
PBD on stock air box with K&N on regular gas: 113mph

For me PBD gave best traps and also drove the nicest, more so impressive as car was also on stock air box, though I am a firm believer a CAI does nothing on these cars.

I guess we can rule out the Power pack... Which I don't really mind at all.

I suppose this thread is now open to whatever tune seeing as a couple have had bad experiences with Lund. Thanks for those who have shared their experiences. All insight on any tune you have experience with is greatly appreciated!

you should be able to get the idle put where you want it at. , usually very easy to work with
he told me it would stall.

as you see below, my car is not modded and is basically a canned tune for a stock GT auto and he's telling me it might stall. :headbonk:

Can PBD write a tune for the Lund nGauge? My understanding was that the Lund nGauge was locked to them unlike the generic HP Tuners version or SCT, etc. I'd hate to have to buy another tuning device.

Weve seen around 50WHP gains on just our tune alone for 93 octane fuel and can also make adjustments to our customer tunes as well!
Can Livernois change shift points in the A6?

I run Lund but I'd also consider AED or Livernois.

Lund frustrates me as they're unwilling to make any changes to the tune. My idle is set to 800 and i asked them to put it back to factory. I was told no. Pretty much every tune adjustment I asked for has been declined. If you want better customer service go with someone else. Lund will only update a tune if you've changed parts.
Or if you give them $50 which is what I found out recently. Granted, it's been a year, but pretty sure these were lifetime updates as long as I'm not changing parts.

You guys say that but back when this was a discussion I went many years back on the web archives and compared wording and never found it where they stated lifetime and then modified it.

I was told by Beefcake it was 6 months shortly after I bought it but when I bought it the whole reason was the lifetime tuning of simple changes (fans, log verification, etc.). Surely someone had to spread that info for so many of us to have thought that was the case.

We do not charge for any tune updates that the vehicle requires or when you add new parts, we do that with no cost

Like Gibbo205 I want a very specific tune and was wondering which tuner would be able to adjust the car exactly how I want. The first and most important thing I want done is the removal of torque management in the first three gears. Last 3 gears dont have it. Many times I will floor it in second or third and the car gradually accelerates to wot. I believe this is where a lot of the complaints come from with the car having no low end torque. I know its there because 4th gear low rpm wot feels stronger than 3rd low rpm wot. The second thing I want like Gibbo205 mentioned is to keep 1 to 1 throttle ratio. But not just in normal mode, but in all modes(sport etc). The next thing I want done is the removal of clutch protection. I dont know exactly how it works but I believe the car cuts power when shifting. And the last thing is the removal of the rev hang when shifting.

I originally wanted to go with Lund do to all the forum recommendations and I like the nguage. However it seems like they got too big too fast and Im afraid of getting the same tune everyone else got then being ignored. Another small issue is they will only revise your tune for 6 months while many of the other companies give you life time revisions. Not a big deal but still.

Any input from the knowledgeable here would be greatly appreciated.

All of that is some stuff we would have to look into for you and see what all we can get done for you! Should be no problem and we support for the life of the tuner
