Trunk lid alignment?!?!?!

Hi Guys,

How do we align the trunk lid? After installing my new steeda trunk struts it seems the drivers side panel has a noticable larger 1/4 gap than the passenger. Is there any way to slide the trunk over about 1/8th of an inch. See my pics..

Open the trunk, look at the hinge. Adjustment points on each hinge, tada.

The paint on my adjustment screws was really soft and is very easily marred. So keep that in mind.

Was the lid correctly aligned before the new struts ?

I would take it back to the body shop that did the repair after it was wrecked for alignment issues.

YES. Once i installed the steeda high powered struts due to heavier weight of the shelby GT500 wing its out of alignment now.

So 1 side must be pushing more than the other. Before doing any adjustments, switch the struts side to side, see if the gap move to the other side. If yes, the issue is with the struts. Not with the alignment. Seems that both struts are not even in “power”
