Pardon me for asking this and I am asking it in the most polite way.
It seems all of you, regardles of the kit you use, are having unresolved traction problems (that render the extra power unusable).

My plan is:
-Get a basic GT 6mt with performance package and recaro seats
-Get Ford Racing handling package
-Get Ford Racing/Roush supercharger.

However, I hesitate after reading the postings here. I appreciate your thoughts on the matter. Thank you in advance.

I am biased to the auto... so I would recommend going that route unless you're dead set on a manual. I have still seen some issues, but mine seem to be related to torque management in the tune itself. I am taking it in to have it datalogged next week to see if any adjustments can be made. The plan you have is perfect if your goal is to maintain your warranty (which was mine). Does the handling package you mention include upgraded half shafts?

Definitely have traction issues on stock tires. I'm planning on running DOT drag radials though which should help out a lot. You can definitely get the traction to the ground, you just have to do a little more work to get there.

I would have to agree unless dead set I would get an auto car. This is my first MT82 car and it is one of the worst feeling manuals I have ever drove in my life. I should have listened to people online who said get an Auto.

Running drag radials on an mt82 is really risky. Being able to run drag radials is also a benefit of getting the auto.

I want more of a gt350 than a gt500 car and going this route since gt350 is unobtainable

I think I dont necessarily need all the power. 550hp with a great chassis is more than enough for me. Can this be done without forced imduction?

550 at the crank can be attained... 550 to the wheels I don't think I have seen anything yet. I know there are a few s197 coyotes pushing over 500 to the rear wheels, but you have to spend almost the same as you would for a blower...

550hp at the crank. More than that is quite too much for street use.
Now, can FR/Roush or any other FI kits can be tuned with a less agressive pulley to get the power I want, with the rational that it will be a more balanced street car? Thanks again for the great inputs.

For an unrelated side note. My '65 with 425 hp 331 ci from fox with top loader can break traction at higher rpm in 2nd gear if I m not careful. But that thing is tons of fun. Even a guy in Ferrari Maranello gave me a thumb up grinning like a teenager.
