Track time at MIR Sunday?

I am heading out to test and tune at Maryland International Raceway on Sunday and I was curious if any other forum members will be going. I am planning to break in my 2015 GT PP car.

Where is MIR? I'm north of Baltimore, and I don't have a Mustang, but I might come by if it's not too far and I have the time.

Come out to Cecil county dragway on Saturday afternoon I'm trying to round up some s550s to meet there and maybe make some runs down the track

Cecil is more of a possibility. I just saw that MIT is Budd's Creek. Cecil would be easier to get to. I'll keep it in mind (if I'm not mowing grass)

Is cecil 1/8 or 1/4? I am about 1 hour further from cecil.

Is cecil test and tune sat,or bracket racing and u could be out in 2 runs.Im ready to take my gt pp also but want to get some runs in.!!!!!!.

Cecil is test n tune on saturday 9am-4pm. I went a few weeks ago and got 5 runs in with next to no wait time between runs

Cool think i will come up and get a few runs in,really wanted to wait for tires but what hell.I have tune cai and exhaust,i might get lucky and get the pzeros to hook lol.

Nice! I'll be there around 1. Last time I went it was just 40* out and they were prepping the track for 2hrs lol

Any idea what the correct tire presure would be for traction?

If you are on street tires it won't matter, they will spin regardless. If you get better than a 1.9 60' on street tires you are a pretty good driver, otherwise it's a good idea to get drag tires.

MIR is too far for me for just a T&T. I go there for track rentals only. Mason Dixon is a bit closer and less crowded IMO.

Any idea what the correct tire presure would be for traction?

I took mine down to 29psi last time from the usual 32. I wish I had taken it down a little more because I was still losing traction. I might take it to 27 this time and see if it helps. I was also on cheap all seasons

I know there is a point where it actually hurts traction. the pzeros seem to hook ok on the street. i am hoping to atleast crack in the 12s. How do you like cecil county? Is the tech inspection strict? How crowded does it get?
