Got registered today for the 15-16. Declined the optional insurance for 279.00 with $7500 deductible. Should I reconsider or is this just a money maker?
I got it for both my 500 class and 350 class. My 350 day was in the rain and someone had an “incident”, and I’m sure they’re glad they got it or wished they did. As mentioned above, it is more of a peace of mind thing.

This is AWESOME! Excited to have a bunch of us going the same time!

My wife and I are staying at the "recommended hotel" the night of the 15th and 16th! (She's booking our room tomorrow)

I'd say "I'll be the guy at the bar with the GT500..." but that would get mighty confusing!

I originally was going to go in April but had a conflict. Is your wife doing the guest deal. They told me not available. @FASTCARS Not sure if it was due to no more spots or not an option?

The reception dinner is a departure from the 'ol setup they had in UT. First class.

Beer and wine are available for purchase.

We ended up getting a room at Homewood Suites. My wife had Hilton points to burn.

I’m actually attending the June 14-15th and my wife is signed up for the guest deal. Definitely looking forward to this experience.

We are considering making it a GT500 road trip spending a night in each spot along the way and back. HTX to NOLA. NOLA to Nashville. Nashville to Charlotte (2 nights). Charlotte to Savana. Savana to Panama City. Panama City to NOLA again, then home. 2,600ish miles over 7 or 8 days should be an adventure in the 500.

We are flying in and spending a few days in Charlotte-and surrounding area. Being from the city-state of the Peoples Republik of His Lord Cuomo… we are looking forward to “relaxed” pandemic mandates for the first time in well over a year on this trip!

so if I stand real close and mouth breath on you…. That’s why.

LOL. No worries. Being from the great nation of Texas, we have a handle on things and life is slowly getting back to normal.

RE: "FP recommend hotel" - wife booked it online - using the code on the track attack site - no issues.
FWIW.
Fishpik,
I tried to book the Embassy Suites Hilton at Concord (recommended hotel) over a week ago for myself and son the night of the 15th and it was all booked up. So, your wife must have gotten lucky. Ended up booking the Hilton at Charlotte University Place.
