TOYO vs MP

I'm looking at getting some new summer tires by the end of the year, and I'm looking at either the TOYO Proxes 1 or the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

I'm looking for tires that give me great grip during summer weather conditions, even early spring, late fall [wet weather, high operating temperatures, etc] and I need some expert opinions here. The Proxes look to be less expensive but I don't feel like tires are something you should cheap out on... I need some help on the subject.

If there is a tire that wears faster than the factory PZero summer tires, it's the RE050.

Nothing beats Michelin Super Sports.....Its the reason they are stock on so many high performance cars. Those tires alone can help even a novice's lap times!

I hear ya they are just so damn expensive I was hoping to find a name brand set almost as good.

Best place to buy the Michelin PSS is at costco. That's where I'm buying mine at.

I'm currently running Proxes T1 Sport on my 19" Brembo wheels on my 14. 275/35/19. My Pirellis were bad and I needed tires. My initial want was MPSS but they were sold out everywhere and weeks away from new shipment.

I was stunned at their level of grip. They are an excellent tire and they have phenomenal wet traction. Drove across a flooded section of the 400 and didn't hydroplane. They are also resistant to tramlining which is nice. I would recommend them on my initial experience. However I'm uncertain of their longevity. I've only had them one summer. I hope they don't get hard and shitty.

That makes me feel more comfortable about spending then cash on MP, having s direct relation between the experiences of the toyo and MP puts things a little more in perspective.

I would have got them if they were in stock. I think I saved like $200 taxes in installed. If they were in stock I wouldn't even blink at the $200 knowing the reviews that the Michelins get. But I'm impatient [emoji1]

The Bridgestone S04 is another good option according to several reviews. A friend of mine who has been racing at Roebling Roads loves the Continental DW's. Quite a few guys who drive their cars run those both on the street and track days. These tires are about $100 less each than the MPSS's.

I normally stay neutral on tires

but the MPSS are def the top choice IMO
