My car is at 700-800whp on MPSS street tires. Once in 2nd or 3rd I can go WOT. You have to be careful and easy on the throttle, but you can certainly use all of that power even on the street.

I laugh when people think anything over x amount of hp is useless. In 1st gear and most of 2nd yes it is, but from there on it's all fun. Boosted RWD is great for roll racing. If you want the best accel off the line and good 0-60 times then AWD would be the better route IMO.
I agree,I have mps4s on my 2014 GT500.295/35/20 up front and 315/35/20 in the back:lol:

My blown/stroked '05 lays down 597 to the wheels which is basically a 700 hp engine. I run 18'' Nitto NT05R drag radials on the rear and it hooks up very well considering all the torque from the Whipple.

Tesla has no voice when we’re talking about the majesty of a 789 hp NA V12. :headbang:

By the way, the Ferrari takes the Tesla in the 1/4 anyway.
Not to mention it can only do that a few times, and has nowhere near the same top end, and would get its misaligned headlights sucked out on a road course.

I'll take the extra HP. 1st and some of second may need throttle management, but that's the fun part.

Rear wheel drive and over 700 hp. The ZR1 has reached its limits. Those are some hefty limits like 0 to 60 in 2.85 and a limit of 215 mph. That’s why you can expect a C8 ME AWD coming from GM on their top performance model. Most of the super cars have gone this route. My 14 GT500 was terrible about snapping you into the next lane. The MPSS helped some over the crap Goodyear’s. Look at video below and Mark Ruess is a very experienced driver.

That pedal under your right is a variable speed control, not an On/Off switch.

Ferrari didn’t think 789 hp was too much. In fact, they’ve managed a 2.8 0-60.

That’s the rwd/front engine record as far as I know.
Demon does it in 2.3 without rollout.
GT500 will do it in less than 3... just my guesstimation.

RWD can be better than AWD for launches. Much better, especially when car is set up to transfer all of it's weight to the rear tyres. Like all drag cars do.

As for too much power its become a pissing contest.
Dodge needed to get such power because they knew they couldn't compete past the first corner due to old, heavy design. So they've claimed the straight line mantle.

Some people can't handle 400hp let alone 700hp. The question then becomes does Ford have a duty of care to ensure prospective owners are fully aware of what this car is capable of? I mean, you've all seen the crowd videos.
