You're right. Mike and I and other member talked about it on the website. However it is still mixed up in software and hardware. you can find the post on this site: http://www.stangatx.tk/ If we could find which wire on the unit is doing that you can just tape it directly to the sensor in front of the windshield to have the auto mode working. the sensor works just as a contact (kinda...lol)

Another thought. I always wondered what is this little green wire marked as BACKLIGHT IN is for... its one of those loose wires that are not used anywhere.It may be the solution. If anyone could test it.. I don't have the skills unfortunately :(

I didn't pay attention cause I was asking picture to a member before I received my unit lol. I didn't see that green wire! Dude you just saved it! just need to figure out where to connect it haha... I'm sure those other wires are also for saving the memory somehow for cold boot. I definitely need to take off my unit again. Unfortunately it won't be until a week or 2. Could you send me a couple of pictures with all the description?

thats pretty much all i have. i guided those loose wires along with usb port wire into my glovebox. Thats why i have the access. One is backlight in, another ACC OUT, GND and lastly the weird one all in chinese

Those ACC and ground could be there for a reason... Like saving the settings when the unit does a cold boot (When you turn on and off your car). Could you send me the Chinese one? One of my coworker speaks Chinese and he helped a lot with the Chinese stuff for the unit.

Thanks! I guess I'll need to remove my unit and check all of them. I'm sure they all or almost all of them need to be wired somehow...

I'm sure that the Red cable needs to be wired on constant plus. If not the red then I'd say the Orange. However I bet that Red wire needs to be wired on a constant plus and we could "Maybe" keep our settings on cold boot... I can't wait to get my car back now lol. Thanks for the support man! You're contributing right now with that wiring. I should've checked before to plug my unit lol :headbonk:

I reprogrammed a couple of stuff and made it into an update for our unit. It should fix the Chinese pause button (not sure but I tried something) I don't have my car yet... Anybody that's interested of trying it? (No worries I'll provide a rescue file for your unit in case of a crash. However I'm confident 100% it'll flash correctly!) Please let me know.
