I recently finished up my MT82-D4 tranny build and started the car for thr first time today. I noticed a knocking sound coming from what I am pretty certain is the throwout bearing because it knocks at an idle while in neutral and goes away when the clutch is depressed. I didn’t want to take it out for a test drive until I reached out to see if others have experienced this sort of thing with a cerametallic twin disc clutch? Is this something that will work itself out with some break-in miles? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Note: I did bench bleed the hell out of the TOB too. I pumped it no less than 100 times with a clear hose connected until there were no bubbles and continued pumping.
Here’s a video of the knocking sound.
