No, I never said that.. I've said several times I love the car.. don't particularly care for the drivetrain tho.

I wanted a manual GT and settled for an automatic EB purely because of insurance rates.. I've said that a million times over. This thing isn't my cup of tea.. I messed up by getting it, but I do like Evo's and Supras so I don't mind hearing turbo sounds from my car.. just would rather hear a roaring Coyote instead.. :D
I guess your sig is misleading, self hating ecoboost owner......

I have an MMR on mine. Not sure if it performs any better but I love the sound when the window is down. So many people have no idea what they are hearing when the blow off valve goes off. I have yet to talk to a person that does not own a Mustang that knows they offer a turbo option. I bought mine used for under $100 so it was a no brainer for me and I do enjoy the sound.

I just stumbled onto this thread and don't really have much to add in regards to intakes on the EB's. However, I can tell you that I too live in Baltimore and I actually have a practically brand new K&N drop in filter sitting in my garage. I bought it impulsively and ended up buying a Steeda CAI during one of their crazy sales. It was too good a deal to pass up.

Anyway, mine is a GT but if I'm not mistaken, the filter is the same for all 3 engines (at least I think it is). If you want it for like $20, let me know (I think it was like $45 - $55 new).

EDIT: After checking K&N's site, I did confirm that the part number for the drop in filter is exactly the same for all 3 Mustang engines. Part #33-5029

I'll be in Baltimore on Monday and might need to snag that from you for my GT :)

Food for thought on CAI's:

Not saying this guy is 100% right, but here's the reason I've been hesitant to try a CAI so far:

Don't want to shorten the life of my engine ;)

First off, our cars are not mass air flow, so this doesn't apply. Also ford makes the GT 350 factory with a Cai no?

Actually when I took out my stock air box on my EB the inside on the sides of the filter were filthy.

With a CAI like the Airaid/mmr/mishimoto it's much harder for dust/dirt to get by on the sides of the filter like that because the filter is wrapped around the intake tube with rubber and not just sitting in the box

If you put in a CAI, I think it's worth it to take the intake system apart downstream every once in a while and keep an eye on how much crap is getting through it...maybe consider going back to stock if you're getting too much dirt and crap in there

I'd think the factory knows what they're doing with their baby on the GT 350, no?
