Title process

Just wondering how the title process works down here, this'll be the first car that I fully pay off and I'm thinking of giving up on a little bit of 0% interest loan to "own my car for Christmas." So just wondering how early I would need to make the payment to really make that happen. Then what the next step is after doing that.

Does Ford Credit send the title out or do they do a lien release and I have to initiate another process with the DMV to get a paper title?

The lender will send a release to FLHSMV. The title is kept electronically. You can request a paper title certificate on line.
