Would you recommend Pilot Sport Cup 2 for street and track? By street I mean driving (occasionally up to 500 miles) to tracks or taking trips. The car is not a daily driver. I won't be swapping sets of wheels.

Sure, they are standard on 2019+ GT350s.

Yeah, I am opting for the super sports for street and iffy weather track days, and trying a couple other tires for dry track days this year looking for something that lasts decent and is still fast.... but super sports are plenty fun too.

I run Cup 2's 8 months a year. Quality of ride and low noise is perfect.

To those that ruin their tires I offer this, learn to FEEL when the tires get greasy and back off a little and cool the tread. The tire will last much longer.

how many days/hours do you get out of a set? what track and what lap times? I don't think my 3-4 day experience is that far off of normal...

And, by the way, this is what the tire is capable of: 305/325 stagger

I'm using my tires for HPDE events 8 to 10 a year. The tires are 2 years old and have 5/32" left across the full width of the tread. Alignment is factory recommended for the track.

Good to know! I still run stock Super Sports and still have plenty of tread after 12,000 miles and 4 full days of track. I'd like to try Cup 2 next in R spec. My alignment is also set factory recommended for the track.

Get ready to be disappointed regarding thread life on cup2 as opposed to Super sports..... I did one track day and I have almost no thread on the outside of the tire... I think I have may 2 track days left in them, maybe.
But boy can they stick.

Did you have the camber plates? Are they set to track recommended by Ford?

As you can see in the dash photo there are 1300 plus miles of track time recorded. Lap times at Pacific Raceway are between 1.3 to 1.34 minutes per and speeds are up to 158 mph into the braking zone at turn two. Speeds at The Ridge Motorsports Park aren't as high, around 130 mph but cornering is similar. Ask Honey Badger, we have played together. I have been a team owner/ racer in the past and have 30 plus years teaching.
