Tire Upgrade for 2015 GT w/ stock premium 19x8.5s

I'd pick up some 255/40R19 Firehawk Indy 500s. They are a lovely street summer tire and definitely beat the Michelin in value. The PSS/PS4S are great and the best, but not 40% more expensive great.

They are squared, so all same size. 265/40/19

Wow that looks stunning! Is that stock suspension? Everyone talks about 275/40/19 squared I'm assuming for the 10.8 width but they are also a little taller than stock size. The 265/40/19 is less than half an inch narrower & is the exact same height as stock & I refuse to lower my car so I think that's the better option. These pics confirm this for me if this is stock suspension. Great looking car I love the paint & that you didn't go black wheels. Very clean.

Its not stock suspension, but it barely lower than before, maybe half a inch. Yeah, not a fan of black wheel.

Most manufacturers only recommend up to a 255 on 8.5" wheels and that's the high end so it's already wider than optimum. I just replaced my original tires with Conti EC DWS (all seasons for winter use on original Black Accent wheels) and the difference is night and day. I hope to ha e a set of 19x10 soon for summer use, those will get 275s or 285s.

Realized I never posted pics after putting 265/40s on the stock 8.5” rims. Also put on 20mm spacers. Rides/handles perfectly, much stickier too.
