Tire Stencil

so im a big fan of the nascar tire look which i think is awesome. was trying to buy white side wall ditto tires but they don't make them on the Nitto NT555 G2. ordered some stencils and don't have any idea on which paint to use. has anybody here stenciled their tires. what paint did you use. pictures would be great. thanks.

From what I found tire paint will fade or discolor pretty fast. I used Tredwear.com Letters:

Nice, great looking car. so how did you clean your tires? what cleaner did u use? was the install easy? does it stick and dry up quickly? thanks

I washed them thoroughly, then used 409 degreaser until I could barely get anymore grime/oil off the tires.

Use a degreaser, I used 409. It worked so well that is how I will clean my tires going forward. It is recommended to not use tire dressing after you install these letters.

Very tedious, you will need patience to complete it.

The Tredwear adhesive bonds very quickly. I had my wheels off, and I think that made it a lot easier to apply the letters straight.


You should also look up some Tredwear install videos, they are helpful.
