Just too cool!

For the UK the windscreen must allow 75% of light through and sides in front of B pillar 70%. You can brick up the rears if you wish.

what happens if you don't follow those rules? Citations?

'supposed' to be 32% here, but I always have my windows down if I'm in the car unless its raining, and I've yet to meet the officer that will stand in the pouring rain to write a tint ticket. :) Hahaha

5% is awesome because of the privacy and when people stare at you they don't just sit there and stare at you:

In the Netherlands many policemen have a measuring device called 'tintman' on board. If they measure a value less than 55% transparency in front of the b-pillar you are ordered to remove your tint on the spot. If you can't or refuse they can empound your vehicle.

Yes, if the tint on your front windows are obviously too dark but not ridiculous you may be told to get it removed (good cop) or issued an on-the-spot fixed penalty (normal cop). If its very dark you can end up with a prohibition notice which means the car has to stay where it is until the tint is removed.

I've seen plenty of cars around with way too dark windows however - generally old sh*t-tips of cars. I'd be a bit concerned that the Stang is going to attract attention anyway without making it the wrong sort. I intend tinting my light lenses with the possible exception of the headlights. This is also not exactly encouraged.

Well that's a bummer... back home I've got 35% up front and 15% in the back, friend had 5% all around and night driving was scary. I suppose I'll wait until I get back to Texas to tint them.

If you plan on driving your own car over here, with USA-numberplates and registration you should't worry. A friend of mine has his registred in Monaco and it's tinted all over without any worries.

if registred in Europe, see above...
