Had some free time but garage was cluttered and had some unfinished projects so figured I would knock one of the bigger ones out and clear some space. Been working on this for a while but my first attempt at a nice top didn't go how I wanted. Shot and missed but enough to put me in an all out fit of rage like I was 10 years old and not getting my way sooooo took a hammer to it and smashed it into fire wood. I felt better and we'll just not talk about the cost of oak that I've now paid twice. Woodworking is a hobby of mine and normally I don't lose my cool like that. I ended up taking an extended break from it maybe a year and a half or so. So here we are, free time, off work, bored, needed to move around and do something. The base was already done, just needed some stain and finish. The remains of the top was leaning against a wall. I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking.

Dice tray in the middle for games like D&D or many others. To come is a table runner and place settings for actual dining. Also gonna throw some curtains up at some point. The wall opposite the window is going to have a TV hung for game nights that might double as a picture slide show for dining or I may go the projector route. Still deciding. Then all that's left is waiting for the pandemic to run it's course for game nights/entertaining to be a thing again.

Very nice. Looks good for cards, dominoes, board games. Looking for a card / game table myself. But I'll be purchasing. I don't have near the skill, tools, time or work space to build something like that.

Looks great. Handmade is the way to go! I like to see good craftsmanship! I enjoy making furniture from time to time.

Thanks guys! Next up is an "art room" for the wife to hopefully organize some of her clutter. 4 bedroom house and just the 2 of us. 1 guest room, 1 office for her, and a storage room that will be transformed. Looking like I wont be traveling for work for a while so time to get back to the house stuff for sure.

Yep! It really isn't too much cheaper to build anymore anyway. I just know it's solid and made to fit where it's needed.
