I'm looking for advice before it's too late. I have a set of Steeda Progrssives sitting in the garage. I wasn't going to put lowering springs on until I got my new wheels and it really made the wheel gap more obvious. What I need help with is relating to "RIDE QUALITY". I have a non PP car. I hate a bumpy/choppy ride. I loved the ride of my 2013 V6 convertible, but never had the chance to drive a GT to compare ride quality. I have also never driven a PP Mustang because I can't drive the manual due to a knee replacement. I've seen a number of people that had PP cars, and they say the ride quality is = to or better than stock. Does this also apply to the non PP S550. Where I live we have a lot of concrete slab highway, and on certain sections my car gets this annoying bounce / bounce / bounce going on. It's only OK if there's a girl with big boobs in the car, HEHE. What I'm afraid of is will the springs make this feel worse, or will it possibly resolve this?

Please provide me with some input regarding ride quality (especially over choppy roads) so I can make an informed decision. Since the springs aren't on yet, I can always just sell them if it's going to make the car ride more harshly than it does now.

TIA

Ride quality is awesome! No harshness at all, that's the advantage of a progressive spring.

You are still going to get those bumps with the springs, that's really just a miserable road (we have a few areas like that in GA), but I can tell you now, the Progressives are extremely smooth, didn't notice a difference at all from stock. Don't even remember what stock felt like since the ride quality was not affected. I'm definitely glad I went with the Progressives, wouldn't consider anything else in the future.

From a non-PP owner.

It's not going to make the ride more 'harsh' than it is now, I can tell you that much.

Thanks guys. I'm just waiting for the temps to warm up here. Yesterday was the first time we hit 40 degrees in the last 14 days. We also had snow for the last 3 days in a row. I'm thinking the extra ground clearance may be better for now at least till it stops snowing.

I have had by Steeda progressives on for 9 months. Zero complaints from me. The ride is actually much, much better over the stock PP springs. They are not harsh at all. They handle and perform as advertised.

Get them installed and never look back!
