That seems more than reasonable to me, I am going to enquire about that now.
Having been suckered into paying 4 times that for 1 year of cover from warranty wise in the past, it seems almost too good to be true. Think I’ll go with it.

That does seem reasonable...almost too reasonable. So do we think this would cover damage relating to the failure of the oil cooler?
Also, what is their attitude to modifications? Obv nothing that can be attributed to a mod will be covered but sometimes third-party warranties use any modification from factory spec as a get-out.

Potentially good find though :like:

Also I don’t understand the bit about recalls, but I’m a bit of a dumbo with this stuff. Does it mean if the car had an issue due an outstanding recall, which wasn’t addressed, they won’t cover it?

Seems reasonable. Recalls are between the owner and the manufacturer.

I can confirm the full warranty extension from 3 to 5 years can only be done pre / at purchase and costs around £600. It seems to be very rarely pushed by dealers despite a small commission, but it may be because it is a lot cheaper than often inferior supplementary warranties they can sell. I got mine included in the deal, but only because I found it myself and asked for it.

Emailed them form the website and got a response asking for for vehicle details etc. Had barely pressed send on my response when I got a phone call from them asking if the GT I had was the three or five litre...
I guess it is a Ford warranty in name only...

Hah! Yep they are aftermarket if you don't extend when purchasing new.

They quote a similar cost to the above?

Not got it yet. The pleasantly confused chap on the phone said they run quotes in the afternoon. I'll post it up when it arrives.

Things covered, all good...

The pedant in me pictures them using this condition as a way to wriggle out however...

I'm overthinking it of course. Seems worth it to me so I think i'm going for it. Means I can take a little more time to consider the aftermarket cooler options...see what others prefer etc.

I received a quote for the gold cover which for £302.00. I had a look at it and it appears to cover the oil cooler.

Always go for the manufacturer's warranty if available - they invariably cover more than aftermarket warranty companies. Read the small print of all warranties very carefully, some of the aftermarket warranties will fix your oil cooler if it fails but will not fix any consequential damage caused by the oil cooler failure! Be very careful.
