I read a lot of early on reviews from 2015 about it not aligning, holes off, making one side higher than other etc. Are the new versions better or are there a best version? I am really thinking about purchasing a painted set from RPI. 99 or so for black, or 140 for painted.

Anyone have ANY issues with theirs? I am thinking about grabber blue version.

How do you close the hood? do you just gently push it all the way down, and a thump pressure to lock it? Never had a car with struts

Correction its called "Redline Quicklift hood struts" (Is this inferior to the one on americanmuscle? its called equick lift plus)

Do you know if they come with the updated version 2 hood brackets? Long rectangles vs the small ones pictured

I think the pic could be from painted version one

I've had mine install for 4 years now without any problems. Buy it, install it, forget about it.

I have these in Chrome and have not had any issues beyond me buying them in chrome instead of black. Work great so far.
