Anyone have crazy butt dyno stories? I got one and I bet someone can top it.

Friend got a new AWD car said he can't pound the car yet because of the break in period so he won't go over 2.5k RPMs. Normal, right? Well...

He claims he can feel the power delivery to all four wheels, especially in the corners. This Subaru can really put the power down because his traction is flawless.

He has his masters in Biology and he's telling me "the car IS acceleratinf because it is cornering." Yes, that's text book definition but without increasing speed via the throttle, can you REALLY feel all wheels "clawing you" out of the corners?

No. Your buddy is delusional about his theory, just like he can't go over 2.5k RPM in break-in. I mean that in a nice way :D

However - the Subie symmetrical AWD system is pretty good. It sends power to all 4 wheels, all the time, regardless if it's needed or not. He maybe feels some "binding" if he's taking a tight low speed turn.

When I was 16 I put a throttle body spacer on my 4.0L Jeep Cherokee and thought I could feel a difference. One's perception is easily skewed when 190hp and 225lb ft of torque was the fastest thing I'd driven, lol.
