Hello, my name is Logan and this is my 2015 Mustang GT 50th Anniversary LE in Wimbledon White with the 6R80. I picked it up back on July 23rd, 2021 and drove it about 800 miles home from New Orleans after searching for months for the right 50th LE. It was insanely surreal as this was THE car I had talked about getting for a few years and it always felt like a pipe dream but somehow I managed to make it happen. I wanted a 50th LE for a multitude of reasons.
1. My first car was a 1965 Mustang Coupe 6 cyl that was in the same color, and I missed that car almost daily.
2. My car before this was an 06 V6 Mustang, and I was tired of not having a V8 Mustang despite only owning Mustangs my entire life.
3. 50th LEs are fully loaded and also the only way to get PP and automatic in the same car (went auto for plenty of reasons, mostly because it's still currently a daily)
4. I like to full send things in life with no compromise so I decided might as well make the step from 210 to 435 HP at once
5. I'm a fan of rare/numbered things, so it itched that desire for me
6. All the bespoke things (color, quarter windows, wheels, etc) were things I would want regardless so might as well.
7. Maybe pissing off some purists that think these should remain garage queens and should stay stock lol
There's a whole slew more reasons but the tl;dr of it all is that it was perfect for me, even in stock form.
Here it is the day I picked it up;
So as you can tell, I purchased it with some mods already done.
1. Niche Vossos in Matte Black
2. GT500 style rear spoiler in Gloss Black
3. Flowmaster axlebacks with straight midpipes
They're tasteful and many people have been a fan of how they look but it's not personally how I envisioned the build to look, so those will be leaving the car soon. I'm just now getting around to modding the car and adding my own personal touches and already have a whole vision of how I want this car to be if I'm ever done with it.
I think my goal of this little journal is going to be just to track how things have been building this car and being able to keep track of everything that I've done and that I will do, along with any dumb ideas I might have can be spilled onto here.
I did start an Instagram for the car as when I got it I ended up going mini-viral in the S550 Facebook group due to my rather *ahem*, holy appearance , so if you're more into pretty pictures and a day-by-day update kind of thing, my Instagram is @The5.0th

I think that's enough of an introduction, my next few posts will be quick as they'll be able what the goals are, the things I've done already to the car, and whatever else I think should be said about the build. Thank you guys if you decide to follow this build or even if you just checked this post out! Glad to finally be here and contributing.
