apex wheels look pretty nice. my xxr 521 18x10 et25 also weigh 22lbs. with 285 35s my combo weight was 49lbs each. same as my stock 17x7.5s with 235s..

next set of tires will probably be 285/40s

So I mounted the wheels today (got too dark for final pics). I also used a bathroom scale to check actual tire/wheel weights. The factory PP wheel is 65.4lbs. The Apex combination is 53.4lbs.

Earlier post indicates "DoingOK" has 265/45R18.

For tire sidewall reference, here is a picture of a car with 275/40 R18. (not my car)

hmm a 265 is kinda narrow for a 10" wheel

I'd prefer a 275.....but the Bridgestone Pole Positions are not stretched at all. A 265 is actually ok up to a 10.5" wheel even though I prefer a square sidewall and a little more width. I couldn't find a tire I liked in the 275 width. I called my old standby, Luke, from Tire Rack. He said it would be fine so I went for it. I wanted Super Sports, but they are currently back-ordered.

These fit pretty good....better than I expected:

those must be wide 265s. i think my 285s are narrow 285s because my stretch looks about like your 265s. in interested to hear about how she drives compared to the heavy pp wheels

I agree.....different manufacturers really make it hard to figure out how wide they will look once mounted. Car feels different with the new setup.....and I would assume the new compound/tread has the most to do with that. Only drove about 10 miles to get everything settled and the stickers and release compound off the tires.
