I don't have to rent a lot, it only cost about $200 to rent $6k in gear for me when I need it. Usually if we go to the Rolex Equestrian event I'll rent, then I will rent to shoot the car maybe once or twice a year. I usually just use my clients 6D for work purposes. I haven't really wanted to drop that much money on a 5D MKIII just for personal use yet. It will snow ball real quick on me because once I get another body I'll want lights and everything. I actually have a list made buuuuuut, the Mustang is priority lol

( I think that earlier post read like I spend $6k to rent... that's crazy, I could rent the entire Canon catalog for that )

Ok...this makes more sense now. I read it as you spent $6k renting stuff. Whew...glad I was wrong

We have good enough stuff to where I think I will have fun shooting the car. I wish I had some sort of light though....missing that. My issue is always location. Sometimes I don't have the eye for picking out a good spot. I might see a spot that I think would be really neat for a shot but just not able to get it like I want it.

Do you guys know anyone that is looking to start a business or open a new store? I've got this 2,000 sq. ft space that I'm leasing that I'm not using for anything and I'm juggling around some ideas. Something car based would be interesting to me but the space doesn't have an overhead door and is more suited to retail.

Maybe also give me some other ideas of good businesses I could start out of the space?

Really good location in the Indian Lake Corridor, right next to Walmart in Hendersonville on the end cap of the shopping center. Drive thru could be added. Probably the busiest parking lot in all of Sumner County.

Just lost a deal that I was working on for some VFS2's with tires and TPMS for $1,700 from an employee at Roush because I followed the seller's listing and called before I bid to work out the shipping. This is my angry face.

Yeah, lesson learned. Last time I follow sellers instructions to call first. Next time I just click Buy Now and let ebay hassle the seller to fulfill their listing. Someone in California got VSF2's for $1400+$200 shipping because seller put a low best offer on their listing and a standard shipping amount of $200. Dude was obviously apologetic when he called me to tell me what happened, and super pissed because he messed up and sold his Vossen's for dirt cheap on ebay.

This was the first thing I tried to buy off of there in a long time. Definitely some scam artists on there, but this guy I talked to on the phone probably 6 times and verified he worked at Roush Performance so I felt pretty comfortable.
