Does anyone know any good tracks or drag strips in the Nashville area?
Closest is bowling green for both quarter mile and road course. Beech Bend for drag racing and the Corvette Museum track. Other options are Road Atlanta in Atlanta and Little Talladega in Alabama. There's some 1/8 mile tracks scattered around like Union Hill in Joelton.

Hmmm, you're making me consider it. I'm just paranoid about the stock fueling system on the Lund vs how Livernois is doing it.
It is actually totally safe for the stock fueling system. The reasoning that all other vendors require upgrades is because they do not have the same access to the ECM and its tables like we do.

Any small 1/8 mile tracks on the south side of Nashville? Was looking for a small track to try and get my feet wet into drag racing. Nothing too serious just for fun to see what the car can do. I've never been before so it can be a little intimidating.

840...

Seriously though I'm not too sure. I lived in Spring Hill for a couple years but didn't really look into drag racing. I would go a lot in my early 20's to the Hill and Beech Bend with my engine swapped civics but haven't really been to a track to drag in forever now. It was definitely fun though, until I saw a GT500 blow an oil line and though oil on his rear tires and put his car into the wall and total it. That sucked something fierce.

On a side note, didn't someone say they had a powder gun? I've got an idea brewing I want to try out.

I have a brand new powder gun that I've never used. It's a hobby gun model that I used to do 300zx plenums with. By "I", I mean I had an employee do it, wish I would have learned to use it myself. It will do small parts but something the size of a wheel would be tedious, not to mention having an oven that size to cure it.

Like Dark said...the only 1/8 I know of around here is Union Hill. I used to do SCCA racing up there and only dragged a few times. Was never to keen on launching the Miata and wreaking the rear end. Did Beech Bend once also.

Dang alright! Will be going to pick up the car in a little bit. Hopefully the stripes turned out good and everything looks good! Will be getting pics after I pick it up if you all would like!

What color combo did you go with, or did I miss it earlier in the thread?
