So...does anyone know about Ford's Z Plan? From what I understand it is the same as the A Plan but it is for retired employees. What I am wondering is that I have a co-worker that said he can get the Z Plan due to his dad retiring from Ford after 30 years, but could he let me use it? I am thinking no but just asking to see if it is worth pursuing. He already told me he could get me the code.

I am glad you qualified this with "once everybody has their car":lol:

I am totally up for this. I have already planned on doing a ton of pics with my DSLR also...just have to find the right place. I like the top of my parking garage at work but the Nissan corp HQ is right behind us :) I thought some neat shots would be to somehow get Nashville in the background.
Im assuming you work in cool springs correct?

A and Z are priced the same in most cases. You've got to be immediate family, though. Parent, child, or sibling to the employee. All the ford plan pricing also limits the amount a dealer can charge in doc fees. Sometimes there are unpublished incentives not available to everyone else, too. A plan is the best for this but X still helps a lot.

Half my extended family has worked at the old Ford glass plant off briley...but I've always been one step too far removed to get A plan. We unusually just title the cars in Dads name since he qualified but I was able to get such a deal this time around we didn't need to do that.

The invoice for your car should show a/z price, d price, and x price.

I'm not from here originally, are there any nicely paved/windy/un-congested roads near nashville? I know the road out to clarksville is nicely treed on both sides but I think its deer city and pretty much straight.
Yes, there are. Ive found quite a few nice roads just out exploring the area on my street bike. Mostly over on the northwest side of town, though. I haven't really ridden much out towards where most of yall live

If you just want a nice curvy road and don't really care about the speed, Natchez Trace is pretty nice. We used to get on our street bikes and ride the first mile pretty hard. After that it got boring and the park rangers that patrol that area really didn't like us or anyone going hard through there.

Congrats. Jay and Sherman are both good guys to deal with. My family and I have been dealing with them for many, many years and 60-something cars between us (my cousin goes through 2-3 new cars/year). They've never lied or been deceptive about anything, which is really all I care about in a car salesman.
So here is a question for ya. I think you told me that you told them to do their "inspection" in the dealer parking lot so they wouldn't put any miles on her when you picked the stang up. Is that true?

I didn't tell them to, but that's what they did. PDI only put like .4 miles on the car.

At Xtreme now. Almost done. These guys do good work.

Thanks....I will ask Sherman about that.

What kind of price and what darkness did you go with? Is there a certain brand/style that is better these days?

Xtreme uses SunTek Film, I've never had an issue with any of my cars. There isn't a ton of major players in the film industry that i'm aware of besides 3M, Suntek, Llumar and maybe one other.

I asked my youngest last night (she's 15) about what I should name the car when I get it so I can start a Project on the forum:

Ally - "I think you should call it Henry"
Me - "As in like Henry Ford?"
Ally - "I was kidding at first but now I kinda like it. Yes, you should call it Henry"

Kids.... :)

Not a great pic, but you get the idea. This is 20% Suntek film. $205.

I am very picky about people working on my stuff. I was a little stressed at the idea of people crawling around inside the car, leaning on the doors, etc

The guys at Xtreme do a great job. They are very careful, very good at what they do, priced very reasonable, and even let me watch them work. It takes a lot for me to recommend a place. I highly recommend these guys.
