I convinced Jessie that I needed to open the box early to inspect the springs and make sure everything was as it should be.

She really likes them. She told them about not washing it when it came in and one of them remembered you asking the same thing.

I hope your right about the time frame. She said the plant closes for two weeks (holiday's?) so that might add time back on to it.

So when you ordered yours were you able to track it through COTUS? She thinks the way they ordered it was for the "dealer" and not for "her". She has what I think is the DORA but her name isn't on it.

You'll get a VIN assigned in a few weeks, this is a terrible time to take a delivery anyway. You'll be better off to wait. You can also track through your order # in COTUS.

I have the linear Ultralites. I'm sure you can take a ride in each of our cars to see how you like them.

COTUS doesn't work for any 2016 orders. I didn't realize they shut down for the holidays. That will Definately add some time I'm sure.


I never got a DORA people talk about. I do have a whole bunch of other stuff. Pre-order sheet, invoice, etc. my window sticker does say "special order" and has my last name on it. I kept all of that (including the window sticker and all the other stickers that were on the car) and put them in a little binder with pictures of the car still all wrapped up. Nerdy, I know.

I placed my order over the phone with Jay Wednesday Sep 16th. I had a VIN and a window sticker on Monday the 21st, and the car was built on Tuesday the 29th. It then sat at the plant waiting for a seatbelt recall to be done, and finally shipped out Sunday Oct 18th. It showed up and I brought it home the next day.

Jay was good about keeping me updated. There is also an 800 number that is supposed to be for employee use only that I called a couple times. They never specifically asked if I worked for the dealer, and I never specifically said I did. I did imply it, though. They werent ever able to tell me anything I didn't already know, though.

Winter plus the P Zero's = suck. I picked up my car last February and it barely moved for over a month. I tried to drive it and it was like ice skating below 50. Plus the harshness of the northern winters after the car is built and sitting outside, getting salt on it during transport etc. I was a little annoyed at the surface rust in some places from the little time my car sat up north until I got it.

I usually don't even bother telling my wife what I'm putting on the car, she doesn't really care about it. It's usually more of her asking why I'm replacing something that doesn't have anything wrong with it.

I did finish up getting the driver side header on today, maybe in another week I'll feel like getting back under to do the passenger. I've got too many irons in the fire.
