Did you end up calling about the one in Clarksville, Lance?
I did. So here is that latest and greatest (PITA) info that I have. And not to mention the wife is about to kill me.

Here is the info on the two cars in question:
1. The car I ordered: 2016 GT Premium w/ PP, 400a, Nav and ceramic interior (I found out today that the car does have a VIN and I got it. It isn't far enough in the process to have a window sticker or even an invoice yet)
2. Clarksville car: 2016 GT Premium w/ PP, 401a, premier leather trim (Ebony in color), reverse park assist, Nav

With A plan, current rebates & incentives and trade-in figured the difference is right at $2k.

My wife keeps telling me that I am to impatient and can't wait another 3-4 weeks to get the one that I ordered/had to have originally. I keep telling her that the parameters of the original condition have changed due to the A plan discount. She also says that all I am doing is taking the money we are saving by getting the A plan and putting it back into more options on the car. I get where she is coming from on this one but I think it is more logic than anything. Having these additional options might make for a better resale value later on....maybe, but with this being my DD why not be a little more comfortable :)

I need more opinions guys. I have been talking to a few of you about this over text but I need more input. I might be able to pit these two dealerships against each other on the trade in and get that $2k price difference down some.

Dizzle-

I had planned everything I wanted on my car. Was set to order-got distracted because everything I wanted was on a car on the lot (except recaro's). No recaro's around for me to try to see if it would be worth increase in cost and wait time, plus the loss of power heated/cooled seats...

I decided to jump, rather than wait. It still lingers in the back of my mind, constantly "what if", but I'm not heartbroken. I probably should've gotten the recaro's-but my time has passed.

I honestly recommend waiting. I didn't, most guys want to live vicariously through you because getting a new car is exciting, but there is an easy way to help decide..

Which "what if" question is easier for you to deal with?? Assume you get the black interior-"what if" I waited and got something that hardly nobody has, and I really want... Now look at getting the ceramic interior-"what if" I got the same old boring black that everyone has...

There may be other factors in it for you, but in my experience, my brain ALWAYS justifies what suits my desire at that moment...

The 401A and Premier trump the color of the interior for me. I cancelled my order and bought ground stock and have never regretted it. In fact had I got the car I ordered I would have regretted it since it didn't have premier.

+1000 for me too.

I vote for waiting. As hard as it is to wait, you don't want to be thinking to yourself "D'oh...I shoulda waited for Ceramic" for the next 5 years. Six months from now, the length of time you waited will be irrelevant. So....six months from now, what color interior do you want to be sitting in?

Do as I say, not as I do. I have been known to use the "I don't want to be without this (insert gadget name here), in case there is a zombie outbreak tomorrow" justification...

Waiting it out would be my answer for the reasons mentioned above.

However

My concern would be missing out on A plan if the car you ordered doesn't show up before the conquest program expires. Tough choice.

I'm with Jake on this one. The premier trim and 401a will make you a lot happier in a car that you're going to DD.

Everything that comes with premier trim and 401a option is what I wish the 350 had.

Let's get one thing straight when it comes to cars and buying/building cars. Logic goes right out the window.

That being said, the car that's here and built and you know you can get it tomorrow, and you love it. I'd say do this. Go up there, touch it, sit in it, drive it as much as they will let you, and if you like it...buy it. If it's missing that something for you, stick with the car you have on order.

I personally would want the 401a and premier trim far and above the ceramic, BUT like I said I am over light color interiors. And I do think in this case the extra options will be worth it in the long run, both from a creature comfort and a return on value.

So after all of that, I probably didn't help at all, other than you got to do what you feel is right for you. I'll leave you this. Try it, you might just like it.

I have zero patience when it comes to buying cars. If I find one I like I buy it. Agree with others - go have a look and drive. You're gut will tell you whether its the right one.

Welcome Brownie! Good looking car-I'm partial to the OW though...

I'm significantly interested in the suspension mods. Exactly the route I was thinking after reading all of the reviews.
I changed the suspension after owning the car for 3 days. The stock PP suspension and ride height did not feel right at all. I drove on the FRPP set up for about a month then decided to try the Ultralights after the posts by Mustang Collector.

The Ultralights dropped the car another 1/2 in the front and 1 inch in the rear. The spring rates seem much much better than the FRPP springs.

Very happy with the results in both looks and feel. Stiff but not harsh in anyway.

You need to go see the car in person and see if the extra options would outweigh the interior that you really want. That A plan discount should be a consideration also

Lots to consider here. I just got to Memphis and hoping that we can make it home before Friday morning.

I do need to go up there and sit. Don't think that will happen this weekend though.

Earlier today I had decided that I ordered my original car because I really liked the combo, and I still do. Told Jen that I was gonna give myself a cutoff date. Meaning if the one I ordered was not here by X time then I would go with something else.
