After

I gave it a quick rinse after the drive home, I got a bit of salt on it after the wash.

(EDIT: This car is completely wrapped in PPF. This is one of the benefits of the self-healing film, you don't need to worry about swirl marks and paint damage. If I didn't have complete protection, I would never go through the carwash)

Why wouldn't it be able to? Or is this a slight at those who treat a mass produced mustangs like garage queens. Cause those people piss me off.

I grew up with snow. Car washes to rinse the salt off were a monthly ritual (I'm sure the current proud owner of my dad's old 1978 Mercury Bobcat is glad ;)).

I'm not sure there's a better option than a drive through car wash for cars that get driven in the snow. Hand car washes are the norm here, but not in cold places.

Just budget in an annual paint correction.

I just can't imagine anyone doing anything other than hand washing this car. Save some extenuating circumstances like water usage restrictions or freezing temps so you can't wash by hand.

We had a thread a little while back about a guy destroying his front splitter by going through one.

Kudos that you did it, but why? And why take the risk of damaging the front splitter or the machine scratching/damaging your car?

The OP is the PPF guy. I imagine that he feels that it can withstand the guided car wash. I'm surprised that the wheels aren't too wide for the track.

During the winter it is best to take your car to a quarter wash and just spray her down. You don't even have to soap it up, just rinse the salt off. You won't even be able to tell the difference once you drive it home.

Personally, I will not touch my paint when cleaning unless I'm wearing a microfiber mitt.

They fit 2 inches to spare I measured with 1/2 inch to spare on the front splitter and yes all my cars are completely protected with PPF.

Congatulation, you've just officially pissed off member of post #3 . :D
Hm.. he might find cars parked in garages as offensive, and an affront to all the car manufacturers who have built the car to handle the elements.

Protecting the paint is one thing, if your driving in the salt, you can't protect
everything, undercarriage, engine bay and every nook and cranny of the car.
If driving in the salt daily, paint protection IMO is a waste of money.
