Fellas,
I am taking delivery next week (hopefully) via the way Of KS to Southern CA. I have some questions for the dealer to check and verify and sign off on then I will have them send it to me in writing that they did check it, so here are some that i came up with. Let me know if you have any to add since I am NOT doing a PHYSICAL WALK AROUND or sight unseen.
1. Did you remove the yellow plastic thing from the springs (if you have the proper name for it, please let me know...so i can sound smart with the dealer :headbonk: )
2. Are all the screws bolts installed properly on the splitter? (it was already installed prior to negotiations)
3. Are the stripes intact? (meaning, no edges has lifted)
4. Are there any scratches?

Thanks in advance, Al

Make sure they check for damage to the rear diffuser and the exhaust tips before they accept delivery. There is a sticker on the driver's side window in yellow/green/red that states the vehicle must be loaded rear facing. Well some of the transport companies that move the vehicles from the rail yard to the dealer are not reading the warning sticker. They loaded mine wrong and scraped the diffuser to heck. It is not seen easily unless on a lift or you are looking at ground level.

It is being replaced on their dime btw.

Wheel damage or poor touch ups from the factory. Luckily I had a fantastic dealer who took care of it even though there were no notes in the pdi and I didn't notice until I drove it home. However, as you can see someone did notice it before I got the car as you can see the sharpie marks that were part of the cover up I dicovered when wiping brake dust off.

The big day is finally near! Be sure to write up a summary of initial impressions!

This thread has/will be useful for me also, as I too will not be seeing my GT350 prior to private delivery to me from my dealer far from home.

Yea my tech had a gouge in the sidewall all the way to the cords however as I didn't see it until I got it to the house, dealer refused to cover it and stated I could have curbed it on the way home.

I probably wont fly over to physically inspect the car, but im going to have my sales guy email me detailed pics of the car before I overnight him the payment. You cant get your dealer to do the same?

Yowch! That's a noticeable one.
They took care of me and I ended coming out to the good, as I'll have it repaired and have a spare :) I'd guess the driver did it loading the car and attempted to cover it up. Probably the same that happened to the above sidewall.

Taking Delivery

I too took delivery sight on seen. Mine came from Colorado and I asked for him for a 2 minute video of every inch of the car....it worked! Also, Intercity pick up and delivered the car to my front door, they also did a visual inspection. All's well that ends well! Best of luck and enjoy! It's more that I ever dreamed it would be.
