So I was originally going to take it apart due to replace a scratched mirror. But, some jackass hit my mirror with their door while I was at the gym and cracked the turn signal lens that sets in the mirror. I got the back cover off, the plastic piece underneath, but I can't find the clips to take the rest of it off. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I had mine cracked by some kid who threw a rock. It was about a year ago so my memory is a little rusty. But move the mirror glass so it's all the way facing in and you can stick a pick or flathead screwdriver in between the mirror glass/plastic assembly and the housing. there's clips that go all the way around in a circle. I got half of them unclipped and then I was able to carefully pull it out. I think i bent the mirror a little too, which didn't matter because it was broken(just be do it carefully if you do that so you don't break anything on the housing). the new mirror just pushes right in if I remember right. Hope this at least helps a little.

edit: if you're tying to replace the entire assembly then disregard what I said, I just changed the glass, not the whole assembly.

Hey man, I appreciate you taking the time to tell that bit of info. When I talked to a service advisor at a local ford dealer, he was trying to tell me it only comes as a whole assembly and not in individual pieces. I told him the specific part # for the lens and he never got back to me. I guess he felt stupid for arguing with me and being wrong lol.

No problem. It definitely comes as just the mirror and not the whole assembly. Damn thing cost me $102 for a piece of glass glued to some plastic with clips on the back  I only have the base model GT though, so no blinking lights, horses or any of that other stuff in it. Hope you get it figured out.
