Does anyone know if the trim around the tail lights is removable? I yanked the decklid panel and pulled the GT emblem with the intent of taking it to work tomorrow to fill the holes. Afterwards I'd like to wrap the decklid and it would look much better with the taillight trim wrapped as well. I remember seeing a picture of someone with theirs apart and I thought the trim was off too, but I can't seem to locate it. Thanks!

black1985gt unfortunately i think its glued on. i might be wrong but i tried taking it off and it started cracking. Are you talking about the 50th trim or normal black cover?

Anyone know where I can order the chrome taillight trim bezel for a 2016? Might look good on a DIB.

I'm talking about the normal black trim. I swear I saw a picture of someone's car that had it removed. Maybe I'll look into plastidipping it instead.

Yeah, but I might like the chrome. Can't find it though.

Your right. It does look good on DIB.

And no, it does not come off. I traded my stock tail lights for these with another member here.

Did you plastidip the entire tail light or tape it off and just do the surround?

Not a fan of PD on the lights. It looks really hazy and just like overspray, at least from pics. Tail light tint is really cheap and maintains the gloss.

I did the same thing. The chrome trim looks great on dark colored cars. I also traded with a member that wanted the total blacked out look.

black1985gt i painted the entire thing. But i have the big worm graphix tint kit in charcoal color so it has a glossy look. but everything is still plasti dipped around the taillights.
