This is a curiosity post more than anything.

I'll just go on and say it. When, not if, the MT82 in my car goes bad I will not be replacing it with another MT82. I'm at 35.5k right now and I can already tell the input shaft bearing is making some noise. Not much but definitely some. My last MT82 (yes I swapped one into an 07' GT, don't ask:headbonk:) lost the input shaft bearing as well. Didn't expect a stock 4.6 to blow that up.

Also, just so you understand my convictions, I'd have bought a manual even if they were still using the T5. I just do not like automatics.:cheers:

I've rented 3 S550 Mustang automatics in the last year so it's not like I haven't had some time behind the wheel with them.

Back on topic. Does anyone know if there has been a swap to the T56 on an EB or if there is any development in that area? Because that's the route I'll need to take one day. Hopefully later than sooner.
