This last week, I downloaded the newest SYNC update unto a blank USB thumb drive. The update appeared to be successful.
However, the update site asked for an upload from the thumb drive back to Ford Support. The sendback file is an XML file.
Ford support repeatedly stated that the report upload was unsuccessful and to try again later. I have tried multiple days to send the report. Every time the upload is rejected.
I checked the file name on the thumb drive (listed as H:drive on my PC). The file is listed as "Sync_YTCR0065+myVIN#.xml". When I click on the file name and hit <open>, the Ford site lists the file as "C:\fakepath\filename.xml". When I click on send...the site rejects the upload.

I even created a new directory on my C-Drive named "fakepath' and copied the XML file to that new directory. That did not work either.

Has anyone else had this report upload problem and if so is there a solution to this problem?

Update: I tried using Chrome/FireFox/Internet Explorer as the contact browser...and multiple submissions...Ford SYNC rejected all attempts in uploading
the xml file!

I guess I will wait until the next SYNC update.

try using a different browser, sometimes that helps.

You can do a health report as well.. It will report back a successful update

Does only the premium GT have the "health report"?
