Hey Folks,

My ‘18 GT V8 is being delivered on Wednesday, suffice to say I can’t wait!
I’ve discovered that the previous owner (who only did 12k miles) hasn’t updated Sync at all.

here in the U.K., you can’t got from Sync 3.0 to 3.4 using the official Ford downloads (at least I couldn’t on my mondeo), so I’ll be going down the cyan labs Syn3 updater route.

I was worried that doing this would mean losing the cool mustang splash screen, but, and please somebody correct me if I’m wrong, I believe that’s programmed in the APIM Asbuilt section.

I have updated my mondeo with this method and idk g the right volume buttons can see all the various themes available, so I’m assuming that the APIM tells the sync system what theme to use?

Thanks,

lat

You do not lose the splash screen, I did this upgrade last month, it worked great! BTW, I couldn't upgrade to 3.4 via Ford either on my 2017 GT.
