Sync connect? remote lock/unlock

picked up a new premium GT yesterday and have been tinkering with the electronic stuff. I was trying to figure out if i was missing some software or if I just don't have the right hardware. so after looking through fordpass and trying to find this feature, im confused. not that its a big deal I guess, just don't have what I thought I had I guess.

I thought with the voice activated sync 3 8" came with mobile hotspot and remote lock/unlock features.....is there a further upgrade past the 400A / voice sync 3 that allows for "sync connect" ?

again, not a big deal. just was told my car had it and apparently I don't? lol

its a manual, did the 401A package only come with auto transmission for remote start?

400A doesn't have SYNC Connect. 401A does have it, and yes the remote start there is for AT only.

Are you sure? I have the GT Premium 401A package but window sticker didn’t say Sync Connect. Only Sync 3. When I use Ford Pass it says I need to see dealer to have installed.

Yeah, I thought that was the case as it was linked to the SYNC 3 w/Nav last I saw for 19's. I just checked the configurator for GT Premium and it's also showing 401A with it:

• FordPass™ Connect – Remotely start (automatic transmission only), lock and unlock vehicle, Schedule specific times to remotely start (automatic transmission only) vehicle, Locate parked vehicle, Check vehicle status, Wi-Fi® hotspot connects up to 10 devices

Maybe it was different on the 18's?

I have a 2018 EcoBoost 201A MT and I have the SYNC Connect. I don't have remote start, but that is because that is an AT only feature.
