Sync 3

For all those Tech Pack and R with Electronics Pack soon the be owners. Got a chance to play around with the sync 3 system in a 2016 GT. All I have to say is it is worlds better than the old My Ford Touch system. It's super fast, very easy to understand and after about a minute it was like it was something I had used for for years. It's laid out very well and the buttons are spaced nicely. Overall, extremely impressed with this new system and you won't be disappointed. :ford:

I really don't know. I only messed around with it for about 5 minutes. I didn't see anything in the settings menu.

atm nope. I've played with it on a 2016 mustang gt. can't change color or background. I would imagine that be possible with an update in the future. I just dont see why not.

I hope so. Wasn't really diggin the light blue. Isn't mean enough.

No doubt the sync 3 is technically superior, but I would seriously miss my wallpaper. Makes the center console somewhat unique. Plus I just like looking at it.

Is the regular Sync that's standard in the GT350 w/o Tech or Elec pkgs better or the same as the MyFord Touch?

I have a 2016. I really like the sync 3 system. It's very fast and responsive. The layout is clean and the buttons are impossible to mishit. The night mode looks cool and you can run it all the time if you want. It's stealthy. The only downside I have found is that I can't get it to play Pandora or Spotify WITHOUT my iPhone being plugged in to the USB port vs. Bluetooth. It could be operator error but I don't think it's compatible..... Yet! C'mon WiFi update!

The Sync 3 is the feature of my GT350 Tech pack that i am the most excited about. I mean if you don't count the motor, suspension, wheels, tires, seats, transmission, exterior, exhaust.... but no I am really excited to see how it interfaces with my Samsung.

You're able to stream Bluetooth audio to it just like any other modern system.

The kicker will be Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. If you spend most of your time in that, you won't have to stare at the soft-blue menus regardless. You do have to plug in for that to work though.

Not all that familiar with Sync and such but picking up a 2016 soon. If i got a base GT will i have any new options in regards to electronics than i do now with my 2015 non premium? Not sure if this whole Sync 3 thing will only be good for premium owners

Sync3 is replacing MFT in the premium cars. No premium (or tech package for GT350), no sync3.
