I purchased a 21 GT Base model, my vehicle from factory came with 4 inch calc screen and from what window sticker says it had Ford Pass Connect 4G
PREVIOUS owner installed a 8 inch sync 3 system from a Premium vehicle,
Problem 1. screen was still not coded to work( no drive modes, emergency signals not working properly etc)
I FIXED this using forscan and everything is working perfectly now, EXCEPT...
MY FORD PASS does not connect, WHY? i took apart the head unit and found out the screen comes from a 2017 model, from which i investigated is not compatible with the app
I checked the trunk and telemetry module is in the vehicle and as i tested with forscan, it does work.
MY ACTUAL QUESTION IS... if the software/capability to use ford pass in the screen portion of the radio unit or is it somEwhere else?
i've seen the screen on ebay from a 2020 donor vehicle for a good price but want to know if i purchase it and install will it work as it should? or is there something else i should look into????
