Sync 3 on Craigslist (quite shady)

I was looking into Dallas Craigslist and came out with a brand new (with bezel and all) Sync 3 with the toggles and all for $600!
The price is really good but I know that the toggles are good for nothing in my case, since I have the EB PP without the chrome toggles and I would have to just use the screen. My question is that I feel quite uncomfortable with the purchase because it seems too low and I suggested to meet at the police station but he rather wants to meet at the mall; I ain't afraid of being robbed by this guy, because I am a chl holder who practices twice a week and feel confident that in case of danger I can hurt the guy. What I am afraid, is if this unit is stolen and can get back to me, once I connect. I don't know if ford can tell that this unit came out of a stolen vehicle or something and that risk I don't want to take. This are just my conclusions and fear...since I can't say for a fact that this is stolen, otherwise I wouldn't even risk.
Please, let me know what you guys think...I don't want this to bite me in the behind. :frusty:

If you are feeling weird about it...get the VIN it came from and the serial number of the SYNC3 module (it would start with a W). A few of us here can look up the SYNC records and see if the person is being honest.
